Altitude have helped build and manage my websites for many years so at the start of 2016 it was not hard to task them with building a new state-of-the-art real estate website that would compete with the very best - not only in looks but more importantly in functionality.
With enormous effort from their team I now have a truly superb website (www.sphereestates.com) which not only helps showcase my properties for sale or rent, but attracts new clients too.
With so much competition in the market I needed a website that users would be drawn to by its stylish and beautiful design. It needed to be one which users would find dynamic, fun and intuitive to navigate through the search options. Simplicity is key for the user, however the backend technology and coding to make this possible is complicated, from the single bar search panel on the homepage to the cleverly designed image carousel on the property pages.
I also wanted the website to encourage users to engage with us: whether enquiring about buying, selling or renting a property or registering to receive our newsletters. It was also really important to offer alternative options to the user in order to keep them browsing for as long as possible.
Our conversion rates since launching the new website have risen dramatically, as too have our Google rankings. In a business where the website serves as our shop window and knowing that 90% of potential buyers search the internet before contacting an agent, it’s one of the most important investments I could make.

TradeRiver is an innovative provider of "non-bank" trade finance. Our customers use a unique online processing and execution system, called STEPS™, which enables global trade transactions to be carried out quickly and securely without the need for any paperwork at all.
Unsurprisingly, such an innovation relies entirely on the quality, utility and security of STEPS™, which had to be designed, commissioned and then upgraded and supported to keep pace with market and customer developments.
In 2011, Altitude were selected to build the system from scratch and Robin's team have, since then, also been providing support, development and ongoing enhancements for STEPS™, which has a fast-expanding international customer base.
STEPS™ is a sophisticated online application, is the first of its kind and required, amongst other things a level and convenience and user security not available anywhere in the market, which consequently needed designing and testing in-house.
The quality of the team Altitude provided for this not inconsiderable undertaking was and continues to be exemplary. The first version was delivered on time and close to budget - a commendable achievement. Perhaps more importantly the team has proved to be a pleasure to work with, being fully engaged with us as customers at every stage. A number of innovations included in the system are as a direct result of Altitude's development team's close understanding of what we were trying to do and would have proved impossible without Altitude's approachable, experienced and patient developers. We have now engaged Altitude for ongoing STEPS™ support and further development.
STEPS™ has proved a complete success and TradeRiver's business is now growing quickly due in no small part to the fact that we have been able to deliver to our customers a smart, simple-to-use and secure environment for them to trade in.

The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (British Volume) is a world leading orthopaedic journal. Being able to record and track the progress of manuscripts through our peer review system is business critical to us.
Over the past eight years, Robin and his team have helped modernise the tracking of manuscripts via our in-house database. This has involved moving from a very basic form with no functionality to a fully bespoke online system which hundreds of our authors and reviewers, all professional surgeons, use every day.
The team have delivered the project in a timely, professional manner and to an exceptionally high quality. The system has now allowed us to greatly reduce the amount of paper used, to greatly expand our reviewer database internationally and to allow our Editor to work remotely.
There has been a significant reduction in the administration of manuscripts such that we are able to cope with an increase of about 50% in the number of submissions received compared with five years ago.
Altitude have also delivered a new website for our Journal, which was brought in on budget as well as to the exceptional standards we had come to expect. The whole team are a pleasure to work with.
Working with Altitude on our website redevelopment was a breath of fresh air. They were able to work within a complex set of structures and systems from hardware to software, while keeping in mind our vision for the site, always with a 'can do' attitude.
The finished product looks fantastic and more importantly works well for our customers and for us. We have also reduced time spent on administration and increased the number of online users.
Early in 2006 we raised IPO funding for a new British business class airline. We had promised investors a very short timeline from funding to first commercial flight. There were millions of things to do and get right, any one of which, if it went wrong, could have resulted in costly delays. Robin and his team were contracted to develop and maintain the website. Quality, timeliness, speed to market and reliability; Robin and the team delivered for us.
The website won the Best Airline Website at the Travolution 2007 awards. Robin went on to undertake more work for us in areas such as MIS and our intranet. My thanks.
